Your Daily Dose Of Life Hacks

What's up life hackers,

Happy National Video Game Day everyone! Video games have come a long way since the days of Atari and the original Nintendo consoles. To the point that being a "gamer" has actually become a viable career choice, with people like the 16 year old "Bugha" winning $3 million dollars in one tournament, and others like Ninja who earns 7 figures a month, it's never been a more lucrative time to be a gamer. So why not dust off that Super Nintendo that's been laying in your closet for the past 10 years and celebrate Video Game day in style!

Here's your daily dose of life hacks...

(2297) Vacuum Sealed Watermelon

If you think vacuum sealers are just for products then think again. You can actually use these machines to make some super succulent watermelon. All you have to do is cut up a piece of watermelon and vacuum seal it like you would anything else. What happens is it causes all the juice in it to be sucked in, which ultimately increases the sweetness and darkens the colour. This same technique can also work well with other fruits like pineapple.

(2298) Car Washes Have Rain Check Policies

One of the most annoying things has to be getting your car nice and shiny and then a big storm comes through and dirties it up right after. Well there's a little secret about car washes that most people don't know about. A lot of them actually offer a rain check policy. These policies are usually honoured for two days after you got your car wash. So if it rains within 48 hours of your visit, you can head back and get the same kind of wash again for free. Just make sure to bring your receipt.

(2299) Better Banana Peeling

Ever wonder what those little stringy bits on a banana are? They're called "Phloem bundles," and they're actually part of the banana peel, NOT the banana. So why the heck are we eating part of the banana peel every time we eat a banana? Although they're perfectly fine to eat, all you have to do to get those things out of your life, is to peel the banana from the bottom. That's it. No more little stringy things!

(BONUS) Quickie Hack

Sincerely,
Keith Bradford
