What's up life hackers,

Did you know that those vibrant "colour bars" you see used on TVs are called SMPTE bars. These bars, which were created in 1951 and became widespread in 1978, are used to calibrate colour and audio levels for taped recordings.

Here's your daily dose of life hacks...

(2447) Stop Wetting Your Toothpaste

I am definitely guilty of this one. Apparently recommend that you NEVER wet your toothbrush after you put toothpaste on it. When water is mixed with toothpaste it actually reduces some of the health benefits of using toothpaste. Instead just wet your toothbrush first!

(2448) Bake An Entire Tray Of Grilled Cheese

Want to cook more than one or two grilled cheeses at once? Bake them between two baking sheets. The bread turns crispy, while the inside stays gooey, plus you can make up to 8 at once!

(2449) How To Tell If An Egg Is Fully Cooked

Want to tell if your hardboiled egg is fully cooked? Carefully set it down on your countertop and spin it. If the egg wobbles, it's still raw. If it spins easily, it's fully cooked. Here's a simple video demonstration.
