Your Daily Dose Of Life Hacks

View this email in your browser

What's up life hackers,

Today is National Kale Day. Although Kale might not be the most popular tasting Superfoods, it definitely has it's fair share of health benefits. It's jam packed with:

- Vitamin A (important for eye and bone health and a strong immune system)
- Vitamin C (aids in cold and chronic disease prevention)
- Vitamin K (good for blood clotting and bone building)
- Folate (a B vitamin that's key for brain development),
- Alpha-linolenic acid (a great way to get some of this healthy fat into your diet)
- Lutein and zeaxanthin (nutrients that protect against macular degeneration and cataracts)
-Plus it has some minerals including phosphorus, potassium, calcium, and zinc.

So if all that's not enough to try some Kale today, I don't know what is.

Here's your daily dose of life hacks...

(2474) 7 Quick Smoothie Hacks

1. Rinse blender out immediately so you only have to wash it every other time.
2. Add plain yogurt. This with oatmeal makes a complete protein.
3. Add helathy veggies like Cabbage, Kale, or Spinach. You won't even taste them!
4. skip some or all ice, and use frozen fruit. This saves time and is more filling.
5. Frozen juice concentrate is much easier to keep on hand than fresh juice.
6. Oatmeal is cheap, filling, healthy and turns your drink into a meal.
7. Layer from softest (banana) to hardest (frozen ingredients), add liquid last.

(2475) Slow Down Ripening Bananas

If you want to slow down the ripening process of your bananas, try separating them from each other. When one banana in a stock goes bad it will take all the others down with it. Next time you see your bananas going bad, try putting them in an old 6 pack holder.

(2476) Clean Pots With Ketchup?

Did you know you can use ketchup to clean copper pots? Seriously! Ketchup can be used to clean copper pots and pans. The acid in the ketchup removes tarnish and brings out the shine. So if you're ever out of regular cleaner, try squirting on some ketchup to get that thick gunk of your copper pots.
